CAGR & POCT

CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) 연 평균 성장률
: CAGR is a business and investing specific term for the smoothed annualized gain of an investment over a given time period. CAGR is not an accounting term, but remains widely used, particularly in growth industries or to compare the growth rates of two investments because CAGR dampens the effect of volatility of periodic returns that can render arithmetic means irrelevant. CAGR is often used to describe the growth over a period of time of some element of the business, for example revenue, registered users, etc.

POCT(Point-Of-Care Testing)
: POCT is defined as diagnostic testing at or near the site of patient care. The driving notion behind POCT is to bring the test conveniently and immediately to the patient. This increase the likelihood that the patient will receive the results in a timely manner.
: Many point-of-care test systems are realized as easy-to-use membrane-based test strips, often enclosed by a plastic test cassette. This concept often is realized in test systems for detecting pathogens(병원균). These tests require only a single drop of whole blood, urine(소변) or saliva(타액), and they can be performed and interpreted by any general physician within minutes.
